Take 2

Today we brought Everett "home" from the hospital for the second time. They discharged him about 5:00pm when his bilirubin numbers tested in the normal range and there was no more sign of jaundice. This was all pretty routine and we didn't worry for a second!

It rained all day, and was what I'd consider a pretty good storm at times. This is obviously "no big deal" weather for Wisconsin-ites, as there wasn't an umbrella in sight! We killed a few hours this morning at the indoor mall (along with everyone else who wanted out of the rain) and then hung out the rest of the day at the hospital.

In the day we've been apart, Everett now eats twice as much per feeding and sleeps an hour longer in between -- oh those magical nurses! Yay for us! We'll test the theory tonight.

Mr. Alert this evening.

Ball of baby!

Me and the little man.

Father and son getting ready for the Laker game.

Everett is unimpressed with the Lakers' performance so far!

On the agenda for tomorrow -- an afternoon with birthmom Amanda and her family, at her mom's house. We are trying to give them the time they want with Everett. We'd love to keep him all to ourselves, but it is helpful for them to see us with him and to get a few more moments with him before he's whisked off to California. Besides, we get him for a lifetime. Only one family member (Amanda's paternal grandmother) has a hard time with the whole adoption thing, but she's now referring to him as the "Lil California Raisin". We'll take that as progress....
